🚨 Attention Carthage Community 🚨
Please be advised that today and tomorrow (Jan. 3 & 4), the Panola County Sheriff's Office will be conducting training sessions at Carthage Junior High.
You may notice an increased presence of law enforcement vehicles in the vicinity of the campus. We want to assure everyone that this is simply training and there is no cause for alarm.
The safety and security of our community and schools is always our top priority, and we are very appreciative of our law enforcement partners who share this priority to keep our Bulldogs safe. #SafeCarthageISD 🚔

🌟 𝓕𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝓒𝓪𝓻𝓸𝓵𝓼 2024: A Night to Remember! 🎶✨
If you missed the second annual Feast of Carols, you missed a magical evening! 🎄 The event began with a festive art walk, where our talented CHS culinary students served up delicious appetizers, displayed with the help of creative serving pieces crafted by our Ag department. 🍽️ A special serenade from the CHS choir really got everyone in the Christmas spirit! 🎵
Guests were then treated incredible performances from CHS theatre students, the Bulldog Belles, and the outstanding band and choir programs from Carthage High School and Baker-Koonce Intermediate. 🎭💃🎺
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special! We can’t wait to see you at next year’s Feast of Carols for even more festive fun. 🎉❤️

Today, Carthage ISD Superintendent Jarrod Bitter joined fellow school leaders at the State of East Texas Education event in Tyler for a meaningful conversation on the current state and future of education. Bitter joined Dr. Marty Crawford from Tyler ISD, Lamond Dean from Chapel Hill ISD, and Stan Surratt from Lindale ISD on the panel. They discussed topics such as state funding, inflation, accountability standards and mandates, school vouchers, and teacher shortages. We’re proud to see our district represented in these important conversations, working to shape a brighter future for our students and community!
