The annual Mission Carthage Back to School Bash school supply distribution event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 6 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Carthage High School. The event will follow the same drive-thru format used in previous years. The event is open to all Panola County students, in grades K-12, regardless of how they receive their education, whether through public schools, private schools or by being home schooled.
Parents and students should enter through the main CHS entrance (next to the guard building) and will proceed through the drive-thru line shown below. The student does not need to be in the vehicle with you to pick up supplies.
Supply donations are still needed, so residents or business operators wanting to donate supplies or volunteer should show up at 4 p.m. or later on Thursday, Aug. 4, at the old band hall on the Carthage High School campus. Please DO NOT drop supplies off at the Mission Carthage office, as there is no way to transport items to CHS.
Volunteers are still needed to stuff bags on Thursday evening. If you would like to volunteer, you may contact Mission Carthage Executive Director Jennifer Randall at 903-693-4402.
