Congratulations Jennifer Register, Carthage Primary Principal

Carthage ISD is thrilled to announce Jennifer Register has been named the principal at Carthage Primary School. Mrs. Register will begin serving in this new role for the 2022-23 academic year, after serving as the assistant principal at Carthage Primary since 2009.

“I am honored to be selected to serve as the next principal at Carthage Primary,” said Register. “Having worked alongside Mrs. Schumacher for the past 13 years, I’ve had a great friend and mentor in her, and I’m looking forward to continuing the wonderful things happening at our campus for years to come.”

Mrs. Register earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University and teaching certification from Stephen F. Austin State University. She went on to earn her Master of Education and principal certification from The University of Texas at Tyler.

She began her career in education in 2000 as a seventh grade math teacher in Henderson ISD, and has classroom teaching experience at both the secondary and elementary levels. She began her career with Carthage ISD in 2006 and has served at Libby Elementary, Baker-Koonce Intermediate and Carthage Primary.

Mrs. Register has been married to Toby for 21 years. They have three children who all attend Carthage ISD. Todd will be a senior, Jillian will be a sophomore, and Ty will be a fourth grader for the 2022-23 academic year.

Register replaces Mrs. Kiley Schumacher who accepted a position within the district as the Baker-Koonce principal.
