“Mr. Hubbard took a difficult position. He took over the head band director position from a man impossible to replace, Stuart Bird. I'd already grown to love Mr. Hubbard from 6th grade band, but my junior year he became an important person in my high school career. ALWAYS there for a listening ear, encouraging word, and a good pat on the back. I'm happy to call him a former teacher, for 6 years. And I'm happier now to call him a friend as an adult.”
