At the August 17 board meeting, the Carthage ISD Board of Trustees took the following action:
Recognized the Teachers of the Year for 2020: Evelyn Wedgeworth (Elementary Teacher of the Year) and Schelice Reyes (Secondary Teacher of the Year)
Adopted the 2020-2021 School District Budget
Adopted the tax rate: Overall tax rate dropped from 1.21 to 1.1964 per $100 valuation
Approved budget amendments to close the 2019-2020 budget
Approved the bid for sanitizing services with Cintas
Approved the bid for School District Copy Paper with Complete Printing of Carthage
Ratified the Interlocal Agreement with Region 4 Education Service Center regarding Operation Connectivity
Discussed the framework for Asynchronous Learning Plan
Approved the attendance policy for asynchronous learning plan
Held the First Reading of TASB Local Policy Update 115
Approved the proposal for CHS bridge design
Discussed the master facility plan and construction manager agent process
Discussed Superintendent Report for Start of School Updates and Enrollment Report
