Carthage ISD is proud to offer students a meaningful opportunity to continue learning and growing this summer through the 2026 S.T.E.A.M. Summer Camp. The camp will take place July 13–16 at Baker-Koonce Intermediate School and is designed specifically for current 4th and 5th grade Baker-Koonce students.
This four-day experience focuses on hands-on, engaging learning in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Each day is built to keep students actively involved through real-world problem solving, creative thinking, and interactive activities that make learning both fun and impactful. Students will also participate in daily reading to continue building strong academic habits throughout the summer.

The incredible teachers, staff, and administration at Baker-Koonce Intermediate are committed to creating an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired. Their dedication to students extends far beyond the school year, and this summer camp is another example of the care, energy, and excellence they bring to Carthage ISD every single day.
Camp hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with doors opening at 7:45 a.m. for drop-off. The structured schedule provides a balance of academic enrichment and engaging activities, helping students stay sharp while enjoying their summer.
