Carthage ISD is proud to recognize Jeannie McClure as the Baker-Koonce Intermediate Paraprofessional of the Year, honoring her dedication, consistency, and the meaningful impact she makes on students and staff each day.
Mrs. McClure serves as a Special Education Paraprofessional for grades 4, 5, and 6 at Baker-Koonce Intermediate, where she has faithfully supported students and teachers for 17 years in Carthage ISD, all at Baker-Koonce. Her long-standing commitment to the campus reflects both her passion for education and her heart for serving students with diverse needs.
In her role, Mrs. McClure works closely alongside teachers to provide individualized support, helping ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed. Whether assisting with instruction, reinforcing skills, or offering encouragement, she plays a vital role in helping students build confidence and stay engaged in their learning.
Much of Mrs. McClureās work happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt throughout the classroom and across campus. She is always willing to step in wherever needed, bringing a positive attitude and a steady presence to every situation. Her support helps lessons run smoothly and allows teachers to reach students more effectively.
She is especially known for the relationships she builds with students. Mrs. McClure takes time to encourage them, helping them believe in themselves and recognize their own potential. Her patience, care, and consistency create an environment where students feel supported and valued.
Mrs. McClure also plays an important role in supporting classroom instruction, working closely with teachers to help bring lessons to life and meet the unique needs of each student.
