Incumbent Dr. Ben Donald has been re-elected to Place 6 on the Carthage ISD Board of Trustees, securing 977 votes in the May 3 election. Challenger Sequoise Givens received 152 votes.
A lifelong Carthage resident and Carthage High School graduate, Dr. Donald has served on the board for 18 years and currently holds the position of Board President. He is the owner of Donald Eye Care in Carthage and remains actively involved in local education initiatives through the Carthage ISD Education Foundation and other community organizations.
“Serving on the school board is one of the greatest honors of my life,” Donald said. “I’m deeply committed to supporting our students, teachers, and staff, and I want to continue building a strong future for the next generation of Carthage Bulldogs.”
