Election Results Bond 2025

Both propositions on the Carthage ISD bond election ballot passed today. The bond election was presented to voters in two separate propositions.

Proposition A, a $20 million bond which will provide funding for facility upgrades, renovations, transportation improvements, and campus enhancements, passed with 58.5% of the votes.

Proposition B, a $3 million bond which will fund instructional technology upgrades, passed with 60.9% of the votes.

ā€œWe are incredibly grateful to the Carthage community for once again placing their trust in us by supporting this bond election,ā€ Carthage ISD Superintendent Jarrod Bitter said. ā€œThis investment in our schools will allow us to move forward with critical projects that will extend the life of our facilities, enhance the learning environment and student experience, and ensure our students have access to the resources they need to succeed.ā€

Carthage ISD will begin the planning and implementation phases of these projects as soon as it is feasible to do so. While some upgrades may take time to coordinate, all work will be scheduled with careful attention to minimizing disruptions to the daily instructional environment. The district remains committed to transparency and stewardship as we move forward with these improvements for our students and staff.

With the approval of this bond, there will be no increase to the Carthage ISD tax rate.
