Welcome, Mandy Lancaster Head Volleyball Coach

Carthage ISD has selected Mandy Lancaster as the next head volleyball coach at Carthage High School.

No stranger to the Carthage community, Lancaster is a 2003 Carthage High School graduate and has coached girls athletics at Carthage Junior High since 2007. She attended East Texas Baptist University where she played volleyball during the 2003 season. Lancaster earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Kinesiology from ETBU and holds a Texas educator certification in physical education for all grade levels.

“I can’t tell you how excited I am about the opportunity to lead this program with such a rich history of success,” said Mandy Lancaster. “I am humbled and honored that Coach Surratt has placed his trust in me and I can’t wait to get to work leading the Lady Dogs!”

Lancaster’s coaching philosophy is based on building great relationships with her players, first and foremost. Having coached the majority of the current Carthage High School players, she has an advantage taking the reins of the Lady Dogs program this year and has the opportunity to hit the ground running.

“We are so excited to promote Coach Lancaster to head volleyball coach,” said Athletic Director Scott Surratt. “She is a go-getter with great energy and has a great knowledge of the game. I’m looking forward to the future of Carthage Volleyball!”

Lancaster will begin transitioning over to the high school volleyball program this week.
