Auditions for the UIL One Act Play will be on September 6 and open to all students. Pick up an audition packet today from Ms. Funderburk in room 302! The theatre department will be selling mums for $20. There are various colors and come in a 12-inch pot. Please help us reach our goal of renting costumes for our One Act Play competition. Stop by Ms. Funderburk's room for more information.

Mr. Jay Malone is the Volleyballs Teacher of the Week! Ladydogs will play in the CJH main gym on Thursday, August 25 against Center. The games will start at 4:30.

We are proud to announce that our ELAR department received an ELA Distinction Designation from the 21-22 STAAR test results based on the student performance in ELAR. The ELAR department worked diligently all year to meet individual needs of students in closing the gaps and mastery. We could not be more proud of their dedication and the student success at CJHS. CISD Transportation is hiring bus drivers to safely transport our Bulldog students. Students who are new to the District must register IN PERSON. A legal guardian must bring the following CISD required documentation. Please, allow at least one hour for completion. -Parent/Legal Guardian with a current State-issued picture ID (i.e. driver's license) *If the legal guardian is other than the parent, the legal guardian must also bring an official court decree. *If the guardian is someone other than the parent/legal guardian, he/she must also bring notarized power of attorney. -Proof of residence (as detailed on the District form, available in the office) -Students current health/immunization records -Students Social Security card -Students Birth Certificate -Students 2021-2022 final report card w/school's complete address, phone number -Students latest standardized test scores -Students current IEP, if receiving Special Education or 504 services

🏐 Girls' athletic clothes pick up 🏐 CJHS Girls locker room on August 8 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. You need to have a physical on file before picking up athletic clothes. If you have not already turned your physical into Coach Lancaster, you may turn it in on pick-up day. **If you cannot make your assigned day, you will receive your athletic clothes on the first day of school.

The federal government funding that provided free breakfast and lunch to all students during the COVID-19 pandemic expired on the last day of the 2021-22 school year. This means that school meals will no longer automatically be free for every student. Carthage ISD students will need to complete an application form with their registration paperwork to determine whether they will qualify for free or reduced meals for this school year.
