šØ Attention Carthage Community šØ
Please be advised that this evening (Feb. 24), local first responders will be conducting training sessions at Carthage Junior High.
You may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles in the vicinity of the campus. We want to assure everyone that this is simply training and there is no cause for alarm.
The safety and security of our community and schools is always our top priority, and we are very appreciative of our local first responders who share this priority to keep our Bulldogs safe. #SafeCarthageISD šš

Carthage ISD will operate on a two-hour delayed start on Thursday, Jan. 29, out of an abundance of caution due to weather-related conditions. Carthage ISD crews have been assessing road conditions throughout the afternoon and evening and will continue monitoring conditions overnight and early Thursday.
Bus routes will run two hours later than normal. For example, if a studentās bus typically arrives at 6:20 a.m., it should arrive at 8:20 a.m. Thursday. Campuses will begin two hours later than the regular start time.
Carthage ISD recognizes that some families may still be experiencing weather-related impacts. Students are expected to attend school if conditions allow. Families who are unable to travel safely should contact their studentās campus front office as soon as possible. The campus team will work with families on reasonable accommodations based on individual circumstances.
If conditions worsen and a change is needed, Carthage ISD will communicate an updated decision no later than 7:30 a.m. Thursday. We look forward to seeing our students back at school tomorrow

Carthage ISD will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 28 as we allow temperatures to rise and remain high enough to thaw roadways and improve driving conditions across the district. We appreciate your patience as we take a cautious approach to keep students and staff safe. āļøš„¶š¾
