Carthage High School CTE Expo - 8th graders will travel to the high school to be a part of a Career and Technology Expo. This is a great way for students to see what CHS has to offer in the classroom above and beyond the core curriculum.

CHS counselors will meet with 8th graders at the Junior High to discuss choosing a graduation path and classes for next year. Students will be given a packet of information to bring home for parents. Please go through this information with your child and help them make preparations for registration for the following Monday/Tuesday. Bring your packet with you to registration.

Happy Counselor Appreciation Week to Mrs. Rhiddlehoover! We are thankful for her dedication and service to our students, staff, and families.

Carthage ISD will operate on a normal schedule for Friday, February 4th. We have received good reports regarding evening and overnight operations to address concerns with travel and roadways, and we will have staff checking roads starting around 4 a.m.
Any changes or updates to school schedules or operations will be communicated through our social media accounts, the district website, and local media outlets. Additional forms of campus and classroom communication may be used, as well.

Bulldog teams 7A & 8A will play against Center on Thursday, February 3, in the CJHS Gym. The games will start at 4:00 P.M. šš¾

When necessary, we have staff members checking the roads as early as 4 a.m. to determine whether or not we can safely transport students to and from school. š§The Department of Transportation is closing the road in front of The Junior High starting Tuesday, 1/18/22, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. It will not affect car rider traffic in the mornings and the afternoons.

We will be dismissing students at 1:15 on Tuesday, December 14, and Wednesday, December 15 . Please, make arrangements to pick your child up from school on this day! If your child rides the bus, please be aware they will be arriving home early!


Girls Athletics fundraiser! There has been a delay with the sample Deluxe Blanket getting to each campus. Hopefully, we will get those in soon. The order forms will be due December 1.
