Carthage ISD is proud to announce that four members of the Carthage High School Battlin’ Bulldog Band have advanced to the UIL Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest, an achievement reserved for the state’s top-performing student musicians. The students earned a State-qualifying rating at the regional level, advancing to compete at the state contest in the Austin area on May 23 and May 25, 2026.
“Qualifying for state is a tremendous accomplishment, and it’s the kind of recognition that brings real pride, not only to our students, but to their families and all of Carthage ISD,” said Todd Dock, Carthage ISD Director of Bands.
