Libby Elementary LRC

Hours:
Welcome to the Library! We hope that you share our excitement about
books and reading. It is our goal to
provide the best possible selection of books and materials for our students and
staff. You can help us by teaching your
child to take care of our books and to be responsible for school property. Here are some ways to help:
1.
Have clean hands
when you read your book.
2.
Keep library
books away from pets.
3.
Carry books in a
backpack or book bag.
4.
Use a bookmark
instead of turning pages down.
5.
Return books to
the library as soon as you finish reading.
FINES AND PROCEDURES
Books may be
checked out for two weeks. After that
time, a student must renew the book in the library.
During extended holidays,
such as Christmas and Spring Break, the book should be left in the classroom.
If a book is lost
or damaged beyond repair, the student is expected to pay for the book. Money will be refunded if the book is found
and returned in good condition.
Fines are as
follows:
Bar code removed $1.00
Torn pages $1.00 or more
($3.00 maximum)
If more than
three pages are torn, it may be necessary to pay for the book.
Wet books are
considered damaged beyond repair.
The Librarian
will make the decision regarding these books.
