CJHS Drama

John Lennon & Me Cast April 2006 Cinderella	Students in the 7th & 8th grade can participate in the Drama Department at CJHS. Students can take classes in Drama, Technical Theatre, & Production Management. Those that are not in Drama Classes may also participate in productions if the rehearsals are after school. Any CJHS student may be a member of Bullpup Players. Club dues are $5 per school year. The Bullpup Players are for students that would like to explore in depth the "World of Theatre." Students will have the opportunity to go see other theatrical performances, work behind the scenes of special events held at CJHS and produce productions. The Bullpup Players produce at least 2 plays per school year. The first production of the year is traditionally a full-length play. This play is produced sometime in the first semester of the school year. The second production is entered in the UIL One-Act Play contest. The group has been named First Place Play for 3 years and has placed in the top 3 for the past 6 years. Individual awards for the past 6 years include: Best Actress (2 times), 20 All-Star cast members, 16 Honorable Mention All-Star Cast members, and 2 years named Outstanding Technical Company.	Mrs. Kim Funderburk Director/Teacher Room 310 Kim Funderburk Drama Booster Club Members are mainly parents of drama students, but also adults that love theatre. The purpose is to promote theatre in our schools. The club helps build/paint sets, make/find costumes and help Mrs. Funderburk when needed for a successful production.
